Meet the Chiropractor

Dr Justin Petzer attended high school in Durban, whereafter he studied at the Durban University of Technology, graduating at the top of class with a Masters degree in Chiropractic. His masters research was on "The effectiveness of two different taping techniques in the treatment of plantar fasciitis". During his studies he worked closely with many athletes and teams including the Collegians and Varsity College rugby teams, The Mr Price Pro surfers, Comrades runners and many others.

After qualifying Dr Petzer furthered his studies and completed his postgraduate Sports Chiropractic qualification through the Federation of International Sports Chiropractic (FICS). Dr Petzer has attended numerous international conferences in Australia, Spain and South Africa to keep up to date with the latest chiropractic research and techniques.  He is also a certified Kinesio taping practitioner and is qualified to perform the Advanced Biostructural Correction technique. Recently Dr Petzer qualified as a yoga teacher (200hr YTT) furthering his passion for all things movement.

Coming from a strong sporting background and having completed numerous marathons, ultramarathons (4x Comrades), Canoeing marathons (Dusi and Fish), as well as many midmar mile swims, Dr Petzer is an endurance sport lover and likes to push his boundaries to see how far the human body can go. This is what lead him to Chiropractic and why he chose to study it and make it his career - To help others realize their true potential and allow them to live their lives to the fullest.

When he’s not in the practice, he can usually be found running, paddling, swimming, surfing, or enjoying time with his family and friends.
